Tournaments - JMS - 05-01-2011 09:28 PM Hi guys, Just wondered what the experiences have been running tournaments in Europe? I expect that a few have been run over there, so I'm wondering what has started to develop as the 'standard'. Do people often play on 60x60 boards, or larger? Missions/restrictions? NPFs? Thoughts? JMS RE: Tournaments - Berf - 05-04-2011 12:39 AM Well, there's been quite a lot of tournaments in Spain and France already ![]() In France, we have an average of 4 tournaments a month, which helps greatly to creat a strong community. We always play on a 60x60 board, as it's easy to carry around and it's also the most efficient board we tested for fast games. NPFs are used once in a while, but are no obligation as not everyone has (enough) NPFs (new NPFs available soon by the way ![]() As for the Missions, the common restriction is you cannot play the same mission twice during a 'normal' tournament. 'Normal' is a 4 games tournament, quite easy to fit in a day. If more games are to be played, this restriction can be expanded, but not too much because we want to avoid the players using the same mission over and over.
